I finally got all of the bugs worked out of the new rail, earlier I mentioned that it was puking oil out of the oil tank vent and the rear shocks were set too soft, well I took it out today and done some hills and it ran awesome, no more oil puking, and no more bottoming out, I jumped over a dirt bank while climbing a hill and it landed like a dream and kept on going, it was very muddy and sloppy. I got hung up on one hill that we called it "Buried Alive" that is located behind Pipedope's house and it a nasty little hill, I got about 3/4 ways towards the top and I spun out, I backed the rail up to where I have room to turn around on a spot that is fairly steep, I had spotters to put a strap on the front bumper to keep me from flipping over in case it happened and it never even tried to flip over, it stay planted to the ground very well and I was impressed, like Jeff from Predator says that they have a very low center of gravity and they will stay down good, these are very good frames and I recommend them for serious hillclimbing and there is no doubt about it. Here is a sneak peek..............Image

I have many more, but don't wanna ruin the good ones, if it will be on the next BOTM, there will be plenty more to see, if you have any questions about the frame and/or any other parts on it that I am running, please feel free to ask me and I will answer them as best as I could, thanks for looking, Chad

Looks awesome, Chad! Glad to hear you got your shocks worked out. I hope to see it in person sometime soon!

Why was it puking oil from the tank vent?

The company that built the oil tank and the sump pump called the system for 12 quarts, 4 in the block and 8 in the tank in which the tank only can hold 8 quarts max and the remaining 4 quarts in the block got nowhere to go but out of the vent and the purpose of the dry sump is to keep oil almost completely out of the block. It puked almost 2 quarts during the Turkey Run ride. I called the company about this on why 12 when 7-8 can do, they say that it can hold 12 quarts total, but not to run it with 12 quarts in it which it is stupid, they finally said to put 4 in the block and run it and add oil in the tank until it barely covers the baffle while running then you're set, no more problems since then.

Here is a couple of pictures of the shifter linkage that I did on the rail...........

I just took 2 Sweet Mfg. universal joints with a 3/4" smooth bore on both ends and had a piece made on the transmission end to fit the joint and used a steering bushing on the floor with bolts welded to a 1" dom tubing, the bushing is sitting on nuts and washers to make it adjustable when needed, it is also adjustable on the transmission end. Hopefully the pictures will tell most of it, I will get more pictures at different angles if needed to help describe it a little better and also of the piece for the transmission end too.
