Can't Hunt at night. In fact that should really help the crowd as there are a lot of hunters coming into the Greenville area to hunt. And if you want a hill to climb, we will build one for you guys to challenge. The last thing Wille told me was that he had about 10 or so buggy's coming. I haven't heard any different from him. Portions of the event
both nights will be taped for a preview to a national sponsor. C ya there. Looking to have a great time. Bobby

In case anyone needs GOOD directions...

From the W Ky parkway, DON"T take the Greenville exits! They will take you way out of the way, get you lost, and possibly violated!!
Take the Central City exit 58. Go into Central City, take a left at the light (McD's on the corner). This is HWY62 / W Everly Bro's Blvd. Follow it out of CC, past Long John's, walmart, B King... When you think you're in the middle of nowhere, the ag expo center will be on the left just before you start coming into Greenville.
This is the fastest, shortest, easiest, bestest way to get there I promise.

Ok y'all,
Me and the 'ol lady went to the rodeo last night. We watched some good bull riding. We watched some monster mud trucks race around the track. We even watched some old dude in a jeep completely loose his helmet on a small jump. He went balls out up till that happened. I thought it knocked him plum out!
Then came the buggies... ky-bc and firebug were the only buggies that showed up, but they absolutely stole the show!!! Both these guys have impressive machines. The crowd loved them and especially the kids. I'll be honest, I was skeptical at first, but it actually was awesome. The hill climb was the final obstacle of the race. Ky-bc ended the night with an awesome climb and carried it down the back. It was really cool! I think he got some video he'll be posting soon. It was good to meet y'all, Marty and Mike. Look forward to seeing you tonight.
The fun starts again tonight at 7:30. I believe the gates open at 6. I think there's supposed to be some more buggies showing up tonight. I can guarantee that if you come, you will be the stars of the show!

WOW!!!!! In all the years I have been producing shows, I have not had as much fun as last night in Greenville. Both Buggy's were just breathtaking. The Buggy's stole the show. I will be contacting the building manager to see if we can get enough dirt hauled in to buils a hill like the one here in Greenville. I was very disapointed in the fact that more buggy's did not show up.In Cookeville TN, we will have a hill if we can get more dirt hauled in. In Corinth in Jan. we will have a 15' or more hill just for the buggys. I am thinking of adding Buggy Freestyle to our shows. The crowd sure loves it. Everyone get your buggy's ready for Shelbyville and Cookeville. C ya there Bobby

What are the details of the Shelbyville event?
What type of track? Should I run my bolted tires or something else?
What about safety equipment?
What time does it start? Do we get a practice run to check out the track?

Me and Jelly Powder (kybc) showed up alone as far as buggys go. We had a big time..I feel like I rode a bull too  , Just a few bends to fix from my pan bottoming out. I need more shock on back. Mine and Mikes Ball Joint front ends are tough as nails. I hit the big hill a little hard too but no damage from that other than biting my tongue  . I am very proud of the Babychains, they are standing some good tests. I think the lower profile tires do better on the turns,,no bolts needed. Bring a helmet or two. I gave one of the Pro trucks gal friend a couple of rides. I think she loves buggys now. Sorry Josh. The Shelbyville track is larger than Greenville by at least half over. Should be plenty of room for some good air time. Turns out that Woodsbuggys are perfect for this sort of thing. If you can't play here you ain't got no business in the woods. The schedule is posted in here
http://www.americanmonstermotorsports.com/schedule.html
If we get in early we should be able to make a pass through the course to get a feel for it. More details to come later.

First I want to thank Marty and Mike from the bottom of my heart for putting on a great show and race. They are truly professionals in every respect. Shelbyville will start at 7:30 with doors opening at 6PM. All racers should be there by 4 PM if possible. Not sure what kind of track as of this moment. I want to contact the building and see if we can get more dirt to make a hill. The hill in Greenville was awsome as both the buggy's and Wes with his tuff truck made the climb. More News for all the truck and Buggy racers. We have just decided to make Corinth, MS on January 30 & 31, 2009 our finals for this past year. We are looking to put up some serious money in both classes.
I don't know how many understand the way the payoff works. It's very simple. What ever the added purse is $$$ ($300, or $500 or what ever the amount) when you pay your entry fees, your entry fees are addeed to the purse. Example. Lets say we have an added purse of $500.00. We then have ten buggys entered and each buggy pays a $30.00 EF. That is $300. total EF. Added to the $500.00 purse is a grand total of $800.00. that will be paid back 4 places. 1st place gets 40% ($320.00) 2nd place 30% ($240.00) 3rd place 20% ($160.00) 4th place is 10% ($80.00). We want to get back to the old school of true racing. Points will be given in this manner. Everyone receives 5 points just by entering the race and showing up. 1st place 30pts. 2-25pts, 3rd 20pts, 4th 15pts, 5th 10pts, anf 6th 5pts. Yes it costs money to go and race. When I was racing years ago I ate jelly sandwiches just so I could race and hopefully win $50.00 1st place. As we progress we will up the purse $$$$$. We have quite a few events on the books for 09. Another thing we are going to do is we need to know by Thursday noon of each race week who is going to be there. We will set up a call in person and make your entry with that person. At least that way we can tell the media that we have X amount of racers entered. I am giving all buggy racers the oppertunity to finally reach national reconition and promote the Dune Buggys to the public. I ask for everyone support and also say thanks to those who have already supported us. Thanks again Bobby Paul PS Shelbyville TN is Nov15th only. Cookeville TN is Nov 21 & 22.
