I don't know what it cost for gas where you live but I just saw it for $2.65 a gtallon here. Also filled up the diesal truck for $3.59 yesterday. We blamed Bush for raising them. Is anyone thanking him for bringing them back down?

so its ok to gouge us at the pump for for 6 months or so, as long as the price comes back down. and its ok for exxon and the other oil companys to make record profits in the BILLIONS during this time.
never mind gas prices, the whole economy is in a shit hole (no plumbing pun intended) and it happened under george bushes watch. he came into office with a 559 billion surplus left by bill clinton and now he's leaving $7,782,816,546,352 In Debt ............ thats 7 TRILLION!
republican or democrat, whoever gets voted in to office is going to inherit one hell of a mess!!!!!!!!

The oil prices have done a whole lot of damage to future oil use. Now oil feilds are being opened up on the coast ect... we no longer will look at our gas hog trucks as daily transport enconbox high mpg cars are prefered. So as a result our consumption is scaling back and we are not buying as much gas. Another effect of the price gouging was to put us in a big $ pinch and i Hope we dont forget who caused it and go back to buying a bunch of gas but instead continue to cut back on use of foriegn oil.

Hi-jacking.....

*!?*-it.....blame me!! I put around 2000 miles on my diesel truck every week, I try and floor my buggy every other day to burn fuel, my kid loves riding his 4-wheeler for 2 tanks per week, my wife drive 1.5 hours to work one way 3 days a week, I ride her 4-wheeler once a week, and........we try and mow the yard too!! I used it all!

You cannot blame Bush for the oil companies greed!

You cannot blame Bush for the mortgage companies downfalls!

Evveryone has contributed to this and it is time for people to stop blaming others for their own downfalls including large businesses.

Oh yeah, I do not see how in the hell anyone can blame Bush for some terrorists attacks that killed thousands of people. If we did not go to war over this, some of our families would have been next. TAKE SOME DAMN RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

Did I mention that I am not voting for a muslim with a racist wife and racist pastor?

Thanks for the lift,
Chris

BTT-gas is 3.05 a gallon in Cookeville, TN. Diesel is $3.58 a gallon.

BTFW-this previous message was not directed toward any one person, just venting.

$2.67/gal of gas is the cheapest I seen in my area and diesel is $3.39/gal. It still needs to go down some more hopefully

239 cents here an i still am pissed about it! The towel heads really screwed up their markets the gas prices drove up the grociery prices an I still cant see 2.39 a gallon cuz it screwed every thing else up. The Oil co. should pay out their record proffits to bail out our economy since they were so involved in screwing it up! Wheres my Rope?

I've kinda wondered if the high gas price was responsible for the sub-prime mortgage market problems myself. If you are paying $200 a month for gas when it was $1.50 a gallon you are a screwed pooch when it goes to $4/gallon. Then groceries go up because of the cost to grow and transport. You damn sure aren't getting a raise at work cause times are tough, you may be lucky and not get laid off.

On another topic: It takes 8-12 years before the true effects of a presidents fiscal policy are truly felt. The economy was already on its way down when Bush was still fighting for the Republican nomination. Whoever won in 2000 was in for a bumpy ride. Clinton enjoyed the results of Reagans fiscal policy for about 7 years and really only started getting some of Bush 1's results in his last year. The economy would have been pretty decent from there on if not for the terrorist attacks which dropped us into another recession. :x

I'd love to see a really good "homegrown" energy plan so we can give OPEC the finger.

I agree with everybody about the economy situation so far...I think the way things are now is the oil company's fault because when people own homes when gas price is around $1.50/gal for a while during the 90's and they had everything set-up to live on what their house payments were and other budgets to live on....and then all of a sudden the prices has been going up very steep since the 9/11 attacks and it forces people to spend more over their gas budget and let other things go because how are you getting to work? Well that leaves them no choice but to try to make a living by letting other things go to make ends meet and then next thing you know they will not have enough money to buy groceries, pay for their mortgages, utility bills, etc causing them to default on the mortgages and causes Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to lose their asses and then a ripple effect from there on. Now the big picture....$700 billion bailout?? Where did they get the money?? That is OUR tax dollars, Why don't the oil companies pay for the bailout with their last 4-year, multi-billion dollar record profits? Why don't they give it back to us the taxpayers in lump sum from wince it came from the first place? That way it will help boost the economy big time by paying off their mortgages, car payments, and other bills? Let the rich suffer from their losses due to the Wall Street market slumping causing them to lose billions of dollars and why do we have to pay for their mistakes that leads us to this because of their greed? I think they should divide the $700 billion up among us the taxpayers and give it back to us instead of helping the rich or just leave the money alone and use it to invest in bringing back our jobs that got shipped over to China and to create renewable energy, that way they can have a better economy by creating more new jobs. Whew....I can just keep on going, but this just simply pisses me off!
