Is there actually any meat that can be cut out. The terra tires seem to be thin in comparsion to a "V" thread.

imnot sure steve, they can't be any thinner than a 4 ply firestone, i mean they are 4 ply rating, unless they have thinner plies, but i dont see how that would make any sense? i know billy told me about cutting them one day...

I really dont know any thing about them. Im basing my observation on looking at yours when we were fixing the flat at Wellsville. They just seem to be a thin tire to me. I dont know of anybody who has cut them. You could be the first in our group, go for it. Start with some shallow cuts and go from there.

I've used to have a pair that had some work done on them
I ended up selling them to a buddy of mine.
They weren't cut actually like we think cut but had little pencil sized notches cut in the tread that allowed them to flex a bit.
I'll try to get some pics.............

A buddy I ride with has cut his. They're getting a bit worn now but he mostly sharpened it up and cut a few overlapping "lugs," if you want to call them that, out. I seem to think they did better. He loves his terras and plan on getting a new set some time.

I've seen several guys run these at Haspin Acres with good luck. But they cut out the zig zag in the middle. Ussually on smaller engines.

I've got Bilsteins that fit that truck on mine. I think they will work all the way up into the mid 80's model trucks. You gotta get that mounting bar out of the upper mount so I just pop the whole rubber bushing out and put in urethane ones from Autozone ($5).
