Got to go down to the Cold Spot yesterday. We had a freakin blast!! After a couple breakdowns sent Dean and Chris back to the trailer Pipedope, Smitty, Shadetree, Cyle and myself had a regular climbfest. Pipedope was determined to make one hill that has been beating him. He gave it hell right up till he landed on his top. Wearing a helmet I might add. After that he decided to try it another day. Shadetree ran up on a very steep and tricky hill. Next thing you know he was laying at the bottom on his roof. Smitty tried the same hill a few times till he hit a tree and did some moderate damage to his front end. Cyle was giving it hell till he lost a brake line. I got my butt kicked in the "race to the trucks" I'm not even sure where Shadetree passed me at but he was on his trailer when I got to the finish line. In case you don't know Shadetree and I finish every ride out with a high speed race from the feild to the trucks. I certianly hope noone ever decides to come up those trails while we are leaving. I find it very hard to stop a buggy when it is wound out in third and you have no front brakes. Actually my back brakes aint much to write home about.
Anyway, once again we had our best ride ever. I can't wait to get back out there.

It sure was a wild day at the Cold Spot. I believe it was about the same time the wind started blowing from hurricane Ike that everything started to get real crazy. Great bunch of guy's to ride in the storm with.
