the shifter on the buggy that I bought is worn out the ball will not stay in the socket? It looks to be a vw type but not for sure. does any one know of a different type of shifter that could be or has been used on this transaxle from a vw?

going to pull a part sunday to see if I can find a donor(something newer)

Any ideas or suggestions?

A shifter won't work out of a modern car.
Has to be an air cooled Beetle style shifter.

I use a Bugpack T shifter with great results.
