I'm needing to put wheel spacers on my front wheels to be able to clear my brake caliper. I'm needing a wheel bolt that is about 20mm longer. Can I buy those from the auto parts store or is it something I'm gonna have to make?

Thanks

you should be able to buy them local. usually a Carquest is the best bet because they have actual wheel nuts. they can match the thread and sell you a longer bolt. be warned my front lugs from carquest were 6.00 a piece ONLY place I could get them.

With 20mm spacer wheel doesn't rub on brake caliper. This is a bad angle. The caliper does miss the bolts.

Wheel is flat with no offset and bolts are actually in path of brake caliper

Caliper sticks out past rotor face. Normally wouldn't be problem with offset wheels.Image

Spacer in place.

If there is a better way to do this please give me a shout.

Thanks

put some 1/2 wheel studs in it and be done with the bolts.

Do you just get some wheel studs and press into the rotor? Bolts suck!!! They are a pain to line up.

Instigator is right. You will like the studs . It is a pain enough to line up a wheel for the bolts, much less throw the spacers in there too. You will be cussin w/o studs!!

The alum. wheels are cool, but the non-reverse offset, with the spacers added on top of that will make it a handful in the woods, unless you got a power rack or big ol' S10 box or something. Puts alot of stress on steering components.... and your arms, gives the tires more leverage to jerk around with. Really does make a big difference.

Stock Beetle wheels work real nice with stock steering box.
