I was bitching to my buddy, who works for a Bobcat service company, about my clogged jet problem. Well he stopped over today and gave me this air cleaner for free. He said it should work because bobcats are constantly in dusty conditions.

Do you think this would be worth my time hooking up for an air cleaner?

It looks a little small compared to the ones I saw at D&K.

I don't see why that would not work. What is the displacement of the engine in the Bobcat?

I dunno, I don't think that industrial engine turns the RPM that a 1600 cc woods buggy engine sees.

Bigger version would be the schnitz though........ 8)

You would need at least two of those to handel the CFM requirement for that motor and carbs to give you the best results

Brad, thats what I am going to go to. I wish I would have had it at D&K. Would have been a great test. My carbs where full of dust. This is a pic of the adapter I made to plum my airbox into. I saw these on the score cars when I went to Lauglin last winter. I would not think a 3 inch out let would be enough but thats what they were running and it worked.

IF that bobcat filter does not work out for you, ask your buddy if he deals with the big diesel air compressors, they use the same style filter, just larger..the more CFM the compressor..usually the bigger the filter..
did he hook you up with the inner filter? (slides up inside the paper element)

And lots of bob cat rental places also rent out those compressors also..
