Can someone put up an actual current list of what is still needed?
Then we can quote it and put on that list what we send.
Be glad to help in any way I can but don't want to duplicate parts already received.

I am gonna cross post the link to this on STF.
Good bunch of guys over there that would gladly help too.

Thanks

I just got back from the speed shop. (Larry’s, wild bills) Wow that buggy is a total mess. They are going to have to re do everything!!! Only a few bars will be saved and the front end. I left them some calipers and pads but they need much more. I do not see how they will be able to do it, but Larry is determined to get it back going for the man. I wished I would have taken my camera you would not believe how bad it is. Things burnt that I would never have thought would have burned.

back in december 2000, my shop burnt down, i came walking out of the house and i saw smoke coming out of the garage door, and when i opened the door, everything was engulfed in flames. i grabed the front of the buggy, and tried pulling on it to get it out, but it would not budge, the vinyl siding was melting and dripping all over me. and it was getting pretty hot in there, so i looked over and saw an air hose, i wrapped it around the front end, thinking i could pull it out with it being like a rope. but when i ran with the hose, and it tightened up, it was like a bungee cord, it pulled me back in. when i looked in and saw my back tire bursting into a flame, thats when i ran for 911. it was pretty devastating, i lost everything. but right then and there, i knew i wouldnt let the fire beat me. it took me until the fall of 2001, to build my shop back, and then it took three years to rebuild the buggy. but what you got to do is be strong, and win. i hope he will get back on the trails soon. sounds like he's got a good bunch of guys helping him out. oh ya, thats why i call my buggy afterburnt, thats one heck of a way to get a name for it.

It got so hot it warped the frame, but they have cut out most of the bars and are going to put back the ones they can.

Do you still need a fuel tank?
I've got a nice poly tank, 10x33" I think, with chrome bands. Tank is blue.
I can send it tomorrow if you need it.
Let me know, email at

Ok guys this is Michael again, Larry's son. Hopefully the pictures turn out so you all can see what we've been working with. It's coming along great we got alot done last night including extending the front end and getting almost all the tubing primed and ready for paint. We are getting alot of help from a bunch of our local guys in rebuilding this thing that I would like to thank. And also thanks to all who have donated so far we all really appreciate it. I will try to update the pics as we continue the build with the last one hopefully being the smiling face of the man we are helping. Thanks again guys...

Talked to Denny today. He is gonna pick the 3 rib up from me on Monday. Hope that is not too late for y'all. That is the next time he will be thru Louisville in his tractor trailer. I'm going to meet him on the interstate somewhere as he comes thru.
