I am sure you are going to read alot about our weekend as soon as everyone gets home and rests up a bit. We had an absolute blast!!! I cannot even express to you folks how much fun we had on and off the trails. Got to meet alot of new friends and got to hang out with some old friends.
First I want to thank everyone who traveled so far to visit us. Roy, Burt and Dave traveled 7 or 8 hrs. Tim and his wife Rhonda from Southern Buggies, along with WildWillie and his wife and my good friend ky bc. And much to my surprise Rockrockets and Kbaby arrived from Goeogia 16 hrs!!!!! Not only did they arrive but they showed up with my one time internet adversary and now great friend Curt Burns and his dad Bernard Burns. I thought I was gonna get emotional when I saw them arrive. But I din't cause Curt would have taken a picture and made fun of me here on the site.
I don't even know how to describe what the weekend was like. I will say that I had a stack of Rollover Club stickers in my truck and only have one left now. I was passing them out very quickly. Wildwillie got the first one on friday afternoon with what was a very wild roll off of a VERY steep hill. Videos will be coming soon.
The party was a great time I really enjoyed hanging out and talking with so many of you. I can't explain how hard Dave-DVS1 and Steve worked to make the party a success.
We sold Raffle ticket to cover the cost of the party. We raffled off one set of rear trailing arms and a set of extended front arms with thru rods Donated by Southern Buggies. Odyknuck won both of them. I would say it was rigged but I pulled the tickets. Also we had a 50-50 drawing and Darek-baja1965 won that.
I am sure I have left out names but I just wanted to express to everyone what a great time I had and also I want to thank everyone who takes part in this site and the events we have, just how much I appreciate what is happening. Each event I go to, and I have tried to hit them, all has been great and they just keep getting better. Thanks again everyone.
And on a personal note, Smitty you know we will climb bigger hills than that.
Thanks
Dean

I had a blast too!! It was the best ride I have been on ever!! I will go back to Wellsville anytime if another party like this ever happens again!, I want to say thanks to DVS1 for showing us around the park, I had an awesome nightime riding on Friday night and great riding on Saturday, I am sure I missed one hell of a party Saturday night, I had to leave early Saturday evening, about 6:15pm to get home to go to work the next morning, I will make sure that will not happen again. Dean....thanks to you for putting this ride together that was advertised on your website "Woodsbuggy.com" I bet that there will not be as many woodsbuggy members there without the website. I got to meet some new people that are on Woodsbuggy.com there, and they are cool people. I met MadMike, Roy, Rockrockets, Chaindrive Curt and his Dad, KBaby, Plumberbill, DVS1, and many more!! Those who did not make it there.......hopefully will make it to the next big ride like this one. I wish to those to who rolled over to get well soon, I'm sure they will be sore and Good Luck! Thanks again everybody! (P.S. congrats to Eric Debord on his first rollover since he started riding in 1983!) (Get your buggy fixed and lets see if you can do it again! )

I had an EXCELLENT time. So much work was put into my rail to get it there and every second was worth it. There were so many people there I wanted to ride with. Its not often you have so many people there you can't even ride with them all. The party was great even though our party time was cut short due to a phone call saying the ambulance was on the way for my buddy Rick. He is ok he rolled on the jump hill at scoobydoo and his hand got under the cage and it rolled on top of his hand. Didn't break it but it looked like it got hit with a sledge hammer he was out riding the next day. I want to thank Roy for tuning my carbs in for me. We have some pictures and videos but I got to round them all up and will get them posted. O and Rock glad to meet ya damn republicans hahaha

The biggest suprise of the weekend for me was Rhonda, Tim's wife. Damn I am not sure if I want to ride with her crazy ass she puts many men to shame. The chaindrives are just sick. Awesome engineering goes into those things and Curts goes like crazy. Tim and Willie are great people I can't wait to come down and ride with you guys at D&K. Man can't say enough except where we going this weekend!

Kyle

Yeah,, what an awesome good time it was!! I was the guy on the Yellow Can-Am Renegade 4 wheeler following you guys around on Saturday :) I'm still amazed and scratching my head over those chain drive rail buggy's :)

When I pull down to the creek bottom and see a crowed looking at those wall cliff hills they are just looking...... I still cant believe that Red buggy made it and to boot he had a passenger roflmao.

I'm really glad I got to meet a lot of you guys and I'm going to say I had one of the best time ever riding around with you all.

Makes me smile each time I think about the looks on peoples faces when Bernard (I think he was the one who created the red chain drive,, I'm not good with names) would drive by with open headers and the strange smell of propane in the air roflmao that was so awesome!

I would go into detail on some more events but I don't want to spoil anything. :)

Sounds like one hell of a time!! Must've been killer for Tim to say it was worth the 9 hrs it took y'all to get there, and that he wants to do it again this fall!

Glad you are OK, WILBUR! You crazy @#@$#@!! Thanks for dropping my tool bag at Tim's. I damn sure needed it plenty this weekend!!

See ya soon.

i had a blast this weekend , it was great to meet a bunch of you and to be able to put names to faces. I plan on riding at wellsville alot more now that i know some people that ride there. Special thanks to dvs1 and his crew for putting together a great party.
It was awesome to see the chaindrives work -- as i was following rock around the amount of wheel travel in the suspensions is unbelievable. I loved getting to see big red in action, and getting to go for a ride was a highlight of my weekend-- thanks curt. --and i would like to thank Mr Bernard Burns for taking the time to answer my questions about airbags and etc. He probably forgot mor about buggies than i know.
I really enjoyed meeting tim and Rhonda and crew from southern buggies-- I can honestly say thats the first time i ever saw anyone burn engine cases in the fire -- and i dont think i ever seen anyone move as fast as willie when they dumped the water on it -- im still laughing about it!!!!
Rhonda and karen -- all them guys you ride with sure do have some tough competition. Watching both of you climb was awesome
Thanks Dean, i really appreciate to woodsbuggy .com stickers-- it was great to get to meet you, and thanks again for putting all this together so that events like this are possible.

What a weekend!! Jill and I had a blast. Wish we could due it every weekend. It was great meeting everyone. I can finally put names to faces also. I hope everyone that got a rollover stickers is feeling ok and everyone made it home alright. I tried today to explain at work about the chaindrives, but you just can't make someone understand unless they have seen it. Don't ever turn your back on those southern girls, if you do they will be at the top of the hill looking down at you. I will see what I can do k-baby for a buggy for Jill.

i have only been to d&k once and i am still in my first year of buggying and i already know if they say a big hill climb then it will not lack that at all. i am sure it will be big even to the best hillclimbers. and the best of the best will (or should) be there.

I had a GREAT time with everyone. The wings and wedges were awesome... Thanks Dean for the roll over club sticker and all of the effort everyone put into the cookout. The roll was a lot easier than I expected. Everything seemed in slow motion and there was no hard jar. After riding for 24 years I knew sooner or later it would happen. I am glad it was not on a huge hill and also that it did not destroy my buggy. It broke the spring plate, bent the rear trailing arm and tweaked the front trailing arm. Curt's machine can really climb. It would be nearly or maybe impossible for a regular buggy to follow him at Wellsville, especially the chicken coup hill (beside the one wild willie flipped on) and the other hill down the creek. It would have been interesting to have seen him make the turn that WW flipped on, but no doubt, he has one bad climbing machine. VERY impressive.
I also saw a lot of just plain WILD people riding nearly everything. The guy in a car with the pole through the roof with a cone on top, the 2 people (one with a mohawk) riding a 50cc bike at the same with a combined weight of around 350+..wild, and too many other crazies to mention, lol. It was one of the best rides I have been on in a long time. Everyone I met was having a great time and were very friendly.

Eric
