15w40w Rotella is suppose to be the best to break in a new motor according to a few web sites. It has Zink or something different that the other oils do not have?

The Penzoil GT oils also have a high content of Zinc @ .20 ppm

Got to thinking about this after you called yesterday Steve.
Don't use Harley oil in your engine.

It has friction modifiers (fine powders) in it so the crank/rod roller bearings turn rather than slide.
That stuff and plain bearing engines are not a good combination.

I did not consider that however the Pennzoil GT series oils are used in all types of racing motors. The 25/50 is not specifally designed for Harleys or motors using roller bearings. Here an exsert from there site:

Pennzoil Racing Motor Oil

Available Grades include:
SAE 50, SAE 60, 25W-50
Pennzoil® Racing Oil is designed for the lubrication of high-performance competition engines. It is fortified with superior additives and oils which resist breakdown under the high loads, temperatures and speeds experienced by fast revving engines.

Benefits:
Pennzoil® Racing motor oil offers maximum protection for competition engines. Available in three viscosity grades, it is recommended for supercharged, turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines that use racing gasoline or other exotic fuels (including methanol or nitromethane).

Compounded especially for racing engines
Maximizes obtainable horsepower
Can be used with a variety of competition fuels
Suitable for use in most competition engines
SAE 25W-50 provides outstanding low-temperature service when a proper low-RPM warm-up period is not possible

Didn't say to not use the Pennzoil, just not Harley (or any roller bearing engine) specific oil.
I sell Lucas so I am not familiar with Pennzoil products.
According to your cut and paste, it don't appear to be that way........

I know you did not say not to use Pennzoil. I'm passing on info I researched. I did not know it was not made specifically for Harleys untill I went on the Pennzoil site. I had not seen a 25/50 blend until my supplier started offering it. I assummed it was designed for Harley motors. Now we both know lol. Thanks for pointing out the difference between the journal bearing/roller bearing additives in the oils.
