first off this site kicks ass!i got my first rail, a real peice!but for 200 bucks im determined to make this thing go!so i tuned it up with everything new rebuilt the carb, timed it,and so on,and the thing actually runs!!(high five) now one question about the carb, its a solex28pict-1and on the right side, right below the choke theres a threaded hole,i put my finger over it it starts fine!so i found a bolt to fit it and it seems to work ok but im thinking it should be some kind of jet??next the guy ran it into a tree so the tranny and motor and shift rod are slammed forward!all whick i have managed to rig up and make work,(high five again)but the nose cone on the bottom has a hole about the size of a penny! i took a nose cone off a friends and got very little fluid out of the nose cone,so i was thinking stand this thing up on its back wheels shoot a little gear oil in there and jb weld it!! any thoughts on this! heres the numbers on the motor 0310375! no letter! the best i can tell this engine was made till dec.1953 and is a 1131c.c.!! oh and the tranny is a 3rib. MY MOTO IS IF I CANT FIX IT ITS BROKE!!

Go ahead and JB Weld the nosecone. It won't hurt to try. The fluid in the tranny will migrate into the nosecone on it's own so no need to shoot some fluid in there.
The hole on the side of your 28pic below the choke is for the fuel shut off solenoid. Having it plugged off will be fine. You do not have to have one for it to run.
