How many buggy shops are in a fifty mile radius of you? You ever dealt with ShadeTree in South Point, OH?

Yes, we have dealt with Shadetree Performance, the owner is Dave Marks, he is a very good VW expert and a great person, you ought to give him a call 740-377-4850

There is a bug shop in Grayson, KY called Phil's Bug Shack, the owner is Phil Davis, he is a great person also and fun to ride with on buggy rides, he has a good selection of parts in his shop. I do not remeber his phone number. That is all of the ones within 50 mile-radius other than Drew's in Cincy and Larry's Off road in Dayton.

Shadetree Performance is a very good shop, very honest and has been around buggys for years. I take all my stuff there. Hey BaddVW, dont forget Schraders Offroad in MCarthur, hes within 50 miles of you....didn't know if you had been to that one or not.

P.S. Bring them buggys down and go riding with us some time.

Later, Donnie

I met Dave and his son last summer. I bought a used solex from him. He told me before hand it didn't idle well. It runs OK though.

Anyone know where I can find a complete steering column for a 69 standard beetle with a key if possible.

Yeah, I didnt figure you did. Its a small shop, but ots close to the house when we go riding I can buzz over there and get parts. Plus he lives there and if you call first whether its 8pm at night and you need a part he will sell you what you need, which helps out if your stuck in the woods and need parts.

We go riding here by the house all the time on the weekends so just give m a shout if you guys wanna come up, only about an hour drive for ya. I hope you get your carbs fixed or go with the EFI that would be killer.

Donnie
