Anybody ever ran a tdi motor in a buggy?

I saw a turbo diesel chain drive last year at D&K. It was pretty cool. I believe it was an Isuzu motor.
Have never seen a TDI in a conventional buggy. My ol'lady has a '06 TDI Golf and it it an awesome car. I love driving it, tons of torque.
