Ive got a vdo two post sender "g" "wk". Ive got gauge with"s" "i" "gnd". I also want to hook up idiot light. Anybody point in the right direction? Thanks Jason

I just hooked this up on my buggy last weekend. The "g" on the sending unit goes to the "s" on the gauge. the "wk" on the sending unit then obviously goes to the idiot light. the other wire on the idiot light goes to 12 volts when the ignition switch is on. the "i" on the gauge should go to 12 volts when the key is on and the "gnd" on the gauge is obviously ground. got it wired up tonight along with volt meter. had 35-40 psi at idle, only let run for 1-2 minutes. is that good? what should pressure be at running temp? thanks for the help with wiring. Jason

Looks good on the pressure, depends I guess on the oil that your using. Seems like you have plenty so far.

90% of my posts on here have been asking for help from other people and I received all the info that I needed so it is an absolute pleasure to help someone else out. I have heard you only need 10 to 15 pounds at an idle at operating temp but like wild kid said it depends on the oil you are running. It sounds like you are doing pretty good to me. Do you know of any little places around our area for a shake down run? I will be driving my buggy for the first time next weekend and I don't want to take it far in case I have a problem.

If it won't upset the neighbors run it up and down the street in front of your house to get the motor warmed up and able to give it a mild going over at least. Good luck with it.

Running it up and down the street is the plan for now. It has lights, turn signals and brake lights but isn't registered yet. I hope I don't p!$$ anyone off. There are alot of kids in the neighborhood so maybe the cool factor will work in my favor. Jason, let me know if you find anyplace to ride at. I know a couple small places but the legality is questionable and I don't want to be the guy to ruin it for others. Hopefully I can get some pics this week. I am still in the disposable camera stage of evolution. Its been a three year project and I can't wait to drive this thing.
