What is the total width of buggy--- outside to outside or rear tires? It looks over 80". Hope your chains work good for you. I know you put a lot of hard work into it and it looks cool. I have been thinking of doing something like that into the future. Need to get other projects done first!

4.5 inches wider per side. Total 9 inches wider than a stock beetle. I was running 3.5X4.5 trailing arms and am now 1 inch wider on each side. With the boggers it is 75 inches and with the vtreads it is 83.

Marty, Are you going to put in some type of chain protectors or skids to protect the chains? Looks good man, nice fab job. What ratio are you running? Close to even from what I can see.

I got the pulley on ebay... like this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-01-Su ... enameZWDVW
The leading sprocket is 16 teeth and the trailing sprocket is 19 teeth..This changes the 456 into 542

Man that is just awesome. I think I might have to copy(borrow) that design some day and try that out on my buggy.
