Damn this sucks. I went to the website and read over the posting of what has been happening. Seems to me that he is being railroaded over this. Several things have been bypassed just to get the place closed. It takes money to fight something like this and he needs to try to go to the State level and show that procedures weren't followed and to decide in his favor and throw out these suits. I will try to drive up there and be at the meeting, its a 3 hour drive but will be worth it.

Joe (the owner of HnH) did an online petition last year when they started all this crap against him. I posted a request here for people to send him emails to help his case, as he asked. I think it helped to get him an extension, but he knew the battle wasnt over at that point. Maybe another one would help him. It sure couldnt hurt!

Its a damn shame people have to be jerks. His neighbors are just jealous that he might make a dime off the place. Which I doubt he would for a long time, if ever. He put big money out to buy the place and do some work to provide a parking/camping area and bulldoze a main trail. Its really geared towards Jeeps/4WD, but he welcomes everyone and every kinda rig. Since the Jeep clubs can be strong enough to kick buggies out of places like Tellico, you'd think they'd band together enough to help out this guy :? .

Gustograber sent the following to me. It sounds like pretty much a circle jerk to me, but from the best I gatherered from it, they pushed back the application for a new premit, SO they should still be operating under their first land use permit for now. The board feels the first permit was violated and shut them down temporarily, so I GUESS its still shut down for now.
Thanks for the info Kenny.

They are still shut down pending the next meeting in March. They are going to be down at HillznHollarz getting everything fixed before the next meeting. I think the weekend of the 15th is when they will be down there.
