my motor is ticking. its almost the same sound i had last winter. last winter i sherred the dial pins off my crank. but we checked it and my flywheel was tight. any idea on what i could be in trouble for? its just a stock motor and the only upgrade is a 2 barrel.

thanks guys,
dave

you have your rocker, on either side is a flat washer, then spring washer then flat washer.you should have a gap between flat washers where spring washer is.it could be cracked.i have had this happen to me a couple of times.

the clips slide over rocker shaft and hold your rocker w/washers in place.

have you recently had your rocker shafts off? maybe forgot to put in on.i dont think it would pass through your pushrod tubes.but you may want to ask somebody else if they have ever ran into this.

I hada clip break on a rocker shaft once ---It sounded to me like a rod that kept coming and going.I had a buddy pull me back to trailer. Once i figured it out I done away w/ stock shafts -went HD bolted shafts. Good luck with your problem. Mark
