Thanks for the kind words guys. Wild Kids, let me know next time you come down. The space center is only about 20 minutes north of me.

Well I went to pick up my engine today. Or so I thought :-x Once again it was not ready. I paid for this engine over a year ago and its still not ready! I wasnt in a hurry for it before, but now Im getting pretty pissed off. I have been friends with the guy since high school (20+ years) and I find out today that he spent the money that I gave him and doesnt have the money to buy the parts. He said that he will have it done by the end of the month. I sure hope so :?

Hey Jim,
That baja is toooo sweet to take out and beat up. You should trade with me so that you'll have a baja worthy of a good beating! You won't have to worry about messing it up that way and I promise to take really good care of that one!
Seriously though, that thing is awesome. I LOVE IT!

Flabaja, I will holler next time I am headed that way. Would love to see that Baja in person as we all know pictures never do them justice at all. I am still in talks with the Space Center just not sure what the budget crap is doing right now. Thats part of the hold up. Right now I would almost take any job I can find to pay the bills.

We are wanting too. Just have to find a job first, I am tired of this cold weather. Makes me hurt to much. I like the Orlando area or south of there.

Well, still no motor :( He said there was a backorder on the 044s so I decided to go with a used set of Comp Eliminator heads he had. He said they were in good shape with no cracks. I dont really know crap when it comes to VW engines (Im sure I will learn soon enough), so my question is, Are the Comp Eliminator heads as good or better than the

I would say that Roy or TurboBlue would be the ones that should answer this. I think they will be ok and breath well, just not sure how well. For a Drag motor they are the ones used.

Thanks for the links Gary. Still kinda confused though. Best I can guess is the Comp Eliminators are more for drag racing? Are they going to take away too much low end?

Well my motor is still not done  He said it should be done in 2 weeks. He always has a believable excuse, and I want to give him the benifit of the doubt, but Im really getting pissed!

I want to get that damn thing done so bad I can taste it. I have it stored at work and I have to look at it everyday just sitting there. I guess there are a few things I can do while I wait, but not having the motor has just drained all my ambition.

Sorry for the venting, just had to do it

You have more patience than I do. After this long of a wait I would be expecting a discount for the wait.

The worst part is, I orinally wanted to go water cooled. But he talked me out of it saying it would be a pain in the ass and take a long time to get all the little misc stuff done. I bet it wouldnt have taken this long!

How much longer are you going to be over there? And thank you for your service to your country.
