For anyone doing the street legal thing like I am trying, this may come in handy. I hated turning the turn signals on and off on my other rail so I found this for the new one. Turn signals do nothing in the woods but some of us like to cruise around town too.

Signal dynamics makes the module and they have some other controllers for brake lights. Here is there site:

We always use a 3 position switch.
Off in the center and on to the left and on to the right.
Seperate flasher for each side.
We built this fiberglass buggy for a customer a couple years ago that way.
Top lights are tail and brake.
Bottom are tail and turn.
No relays to mess with when you have the turn seperate from the brake light circuit.

I wasn't really thinking of using it to make the brake lights work as turn signals. My turn signals and brake lights are seperate anyway. The cool part about this module is you push the left or right button for one second it auto cancels after 7 seconds. Push it for 2 seconds and it auto cancels after 20 seconds. Push it for 4 seconds and it auto cancels after 75 seconds. If you push both buttons at the same time it activates the 4 way flashers or hazard lights. I hate turning regular toggle switches back to off after a turn or lane change, this is great since it auto cancels itself. What you guys are talking about making the brakes and turn signals operate together is simply a matter of using a trailer light control harness. I did that on my last rail.
