I worked with a general contractor last summer his company truck was a chevy with half a million miles on it,except they never changed the oil just added and he still drove it everyday 110 miles back and forth from the job site.Some people get lucky

Someone else already beat him to it, there was some old man in Texas somewhere that has an older Chevy 4x4 I think 89-90 model, he was showing that it just rolled over 1 million miles for the cameras representing K&N filters, he bought the truck new and the first thing he did is put a K&N filter on it, and ran it forever with it on there, he says that all he has to do with the truck is the daily maintence work on it (oil changes, suspension lubrications, clean filter....etc.....) It is proven on K&N's website.

Oh....another thing I remembered that my dad told me that he just worked on a Chevy pickup 2WD that has 620K miles on it, he says that it is a 92 model.

I hated to see my '99 hit 100k, but now I can't wait til it hits 200k. I'm at 163k now and counting. Oh yeah, I use a K&N too.

I worked for a company that had a 1997 Dodge 1500 with the V6 for a delivery truck. They sold it for $400 with 365,000 on it. I had nothing but problems with a '97 Dodge and they had nothing but success, go figure.

I have an old 3500 dodge that I use to use for hot shot it has went through 5 sets of front bearings 9 sets of tires 1 crash 1 enjector pump 1 lift pump 1 throtle censor 1 fueal cending unit I bought it new in 2000 it know has 599,201 miles and it made a trip to St Petersburg FL last week it averages about 18-20 miles to a gal running 80mph never replaced clutch throwout bearing or any thing to motor although I have the rack ran about every third oil change at Cummins it will easily run 1,000,000 although I have a 2007 2500 4x4 4 door with 20,000 it already needs a transmisson and 1 injector is going bad I will probally tear the transmisson out this month and let it burn a hole in #6 piston then trade the pile of junk in also cummins can't work on it theay say it is dealer only. So I will be buying a chevy with duramax and allison trans to see how it will hold up.

sorry under factory warranty theay replaced the clutch it hade almost 100,000 at no charge on the 3500 Dodge. Also my pops 94 Dodge 3500 has a automatic and around 300,000 it is a 12 valve motor

the truck driver that delivers our job site material drove a 02 f250 and it rolled over 300,000 so they bought him a new 2500 chevy. i am not a ford fan but if the last one lasted that long why switch?

I owned alot of trucks over the years. Dodge (gas and deisel), Chevy (gas), and Ford (gas and deisel), mostly Dodge though. I had good luck with all of them except the Ford Powerstroke. It was just a nightmare from the beginning. I heard they have fixed those problems though. I think pretty much any of them, if taken care of, will last you quite a while anymore. But if I was a bettin man, man money would be on the Cummins outlasting them all. I had an 89 Ram with the CTD that had over 490K on it when the odometer broke. Drove it for 3 more years before selling it. That was about 5 years ago and I still see it on the road from time to time.

i have a 88 chevy 230,000 on it went with a 350 turbo for towing 700r seem to be junk .

My girlfriends aunt has a ford ranger not sure of model but it has over 500k miles on it and is still kickin its turd brown we call it the turd

I had a 96 ram CTD that the trans kept downshifting after towing for about an hour. We changed out the torque converter to an aftermarket one (I think ATI was the brand) and put on a larger cooler. Never had the problem again. From what I was told, Dodge was having problems with the fluid getting too hot.

When I was working irrigation we had a 95 2500 dodge CTD that we had to put 1 trans and 3 torque converters in during one summer. The CTD is a great engine but the autos are junk. We had an old 78 1 ton dually chevy with a 350 and SM465 4 speed w/granny low. That thing was clapped out but still going. It had almost 400K on the clock. It towed a 16ft irrigation trailer everyday. The guy bought it new. It was on its 3rd engine but the trans was original. The syncros were long gone but it was still going strong otherwise.

I have had nothing but bad luck with Dodge. I have a friend that won't own nothing but a Dodge, he never has any problems with his. My brother works at the Duramax plant, so I drive Chevy now (get that GM discount).

Shit im about to hit 200k on my 99 ford escort lol. I drive it 80 miles a day back and forth to work. Bought it for $300 from a title loan company.
