I am heading out tonight heading down to Rockingham, NC. to the IHRA Drag Races. We are going to take the Funny Car down there and see if we can qualify for Sunday's show. Wish me luck! We have been doing some testing and everything is going well, so we will see. I will be tuning the clutch this weekend.
If anyone on here happens to go, stop by our pits and say "hi".

Talk to yall on Monday :!:

Well,

We did not qualify for the race but we did run well. Considering this is a whole new combination and very little testing time, we only missed the show by 5/100 sec.
We did have a blast as usual.

The engine, clutch and transmission in these cars is my specialty. I have been working on them for quite a while. Here is a peek at what we are using.

DAMN, That is a bad looking ride! I've been around local drag racing most of my life, but the closest I've been to something like that was a pit tent pass for the Budweiser team at US Nationals! That was a good time, free beer, free food, and got to talk racing with Kenny Bernstein and his boy. They were really cool, just like a couple good ol' boys.

Too bad you missed the show, but that is very impressive to only run 5 hundreths off the cut off with all new gear! Good job!!

We would have made it in but we broke a blower belt on our best pass.

Oh well.....that's racing.
