Well I finally retired my old coal fired computer and moved into the 21st. century. I'm finally able to watch the vidios that everyone posts, all really cool stuff. Along with the new computer I got DSL to go along with it making the whole thing come together. Don't know why I waited so long to do this, now I'm glad I did.

Glad to see that you progressed with your computer, but wait until about 6 months, something else will come out that will make the one I have and everybody else's look like stone age. I usually get a new one every year, not the whole thing, I just change the motherboard and the processor and it also depends on what processor speed is available. You can make your computer operate faster for very little $$$.

Going to buy another mac Laptop this weekend and it has a 160gig hard drive. Double what I have now in this mac. Wanted to repair this one instead of buying another, but it isn't cost effective.

Hey Wild Kids, Mac might buy your old one back!

A buddy of mine sold one that he was having lots of trouble with back to them. He got $2000 for it, and he payed $1500 for it 3 years ago! Got a brand new powerbook with that money!

Not saying they'll screw it up like that for you though, but it's worth a try, haha.

Ask him how he did it. That would be great if they would buy it back. I know they did that on my IPod when the battery crapped on me after 2 years. All I had to do was pay shipping on it.
I bought it in Japan new for $80 and they run $280 here. Then I paid an extra $100 for the Video Ipod.

Well, we have an apple store here, and he just asked them there and they bought it at the store.
Otherwise, check their website or call customer service, I guess.
Wish I knew more.

NO go on them buying my old one, so I just bought another MacBook. Got a deal on it since I had bought from them before. They knocked off $300 from the laptop.

Anyone have a spare firewire that they don't need? I need one to migrate everything from the old one to the new one. Don't see buying one for a one time use.

They have a 8gig at the store where I bought this Macbook for $79 going to go after it. I can download stuff to it from other puters and install it on mine.
Thats a good price on the 1 gig Chris.
