I'm a network technician for Bluegrass Cellular. Sounds important but really they could train monkeys to do it. I've been with them for just over a year. Been in the phone business for 8 years, spent the previous 7 years as a contractor for BellSouth.
We've actually been fairly busy. We're going through several upgrades and other projects. The company keeps spending money, people keep the cellphone glued to their ear, and I keep my job. That works out great when you have toys to pay for and kids to feed.
My wife just recently finished school and got a decent job with the doctor she interned for. This is great news for me, my buggy, and VW parts dealers across the country. Also looking forward to birthday presents that aren't home-made... lol.

Thanks Darlene, I have the interview Feb 6th. It has been 6 months trying to get this interview. I had one today with a government program for people with disabilities to find government jobs. The law of averages has to be on my side soon.

Well, you know the old saying..........if at first you don't succeed, shoot somebody and take their job....or maybe that was two sayings rolled into one......anyway....good luck and keep your chin up! As you say, the law of averages dictates that if you continue to throw your line in the water, at some point you will catch something good........

I sure hope I catch something and that it is gOOd! Been job hunting since August with no luck so far, so it has to be coming really soon. My mom always said that I was bull headed and stubborn, just using it in my favor now job hunting.

I work for one of the largest motorcycle dealerships in the country. I basicly sit in a warehouse, putting bikes together to restock the showroom. Not sure for how much longer though. Not really making the kind of money I need, and better offers are starting to come in.

Today I laid bricks. I missed a good ride because bad weather put me far behind on my side jobs. I was a brick layer first then I became a Firefighter.. Now when I am not a Fire Captain I lay bricks to fund my buggy habit. I gotta lay a lot of bricks to go to Wellsville. Sorry I missed opening day at Wilborns.

I'm a Locomotive Engineer for Norfolk Southern. Been working there since 1994 for Conrail, then in 1998 NS took over and it's been hell ever since. Sometimes it has it's benifits. Like, kids love trains, Sometimes when were stopped I'll let the kids come onboard and blow the horn. Makes my day to see those kids smiling so hard. Of course, all my kids have got to run the engine up and down the tracks.

Hey fgrir,
Your job sounds alot like, if not just like, mine. For years I did contract installation for AT&T (it was Bellsouth then) but now work for a local cell company.
