Do yall not have any junk yards ? Also bus trannys are hard to come by. I think you will find an 1850 vw is faster than it sounds, them vws are running little motors

ok thanks guys, would this be a good choice compared to the previous one the red 1835cc.?

I can't see the pics in large on this app for some reason .. but if it has that stuff it sounds like not a bad deal , I would be careful getting a sooped up car , I know I know !!!!!! Everyone wants a bad ass fast buggy(including me) .. but with big hp the reliability goes right out the window plus every time it does brake it cost $$$$$$$ to fix it .
Food for thought.

Honestly I don't know a lot about vws but I do know I have 2.3 ford aspirated and it's pretty fast , but again it depends on buggy weight. I had a friend who had 1600 dual port on a 1000lb buggy and it was pretty quick ! Faster than my 2000lb 2.3 buggy

ok yes i figure weight is important.

is it possible to make these buggies with more ride height like 2-3 feet or more ground clearance?

thanks

Anything is possible , but I would not go high!!! It will fudge up the center of gravity and then u will have a jeep lol I like 12 to 16 in of suspension travel with 33s on the rear and 30s on the front , if u Wana do 3 ft of clearance I'd go get a rock crawler

I wouldn't go to big on the tires expecially if you are going to run it hardcore, it will cause extra wear and tear on the tranny, cv,s, trailing arms, ect,...

I would guess you could get it shipped for half that.

I completely agree. The frame needs to entire rear cage, the trans looks like a swing axle so the trans and torsion housing will need to be replaced. The engine is too small. There is not much to that buggy that you would not touch.

yea its just because my budget is tight, for round trip 4000km total with my dads truck which is a v8 does about 14liter/100km on highway with light pulling so thats around 700$ plus trailer rental since i dont have one, so i will make my decision for what buggy and then make my plans and will drive there with a friend or my father hopefully he pays the gaz ;) hahaha or i will trust the seller and get this bad ass buggy shipped right to my door :)

-- or can i take a mini car trailer that just the front wheels go on the trailer? or this is a bad idea?

what engine was in that buggy before you sold it Nribuggys and it was in good condition i guess?

I wouldn't put it on a car dolly !! If it jumps in gear engine will burn up , plus it will eat up the rear tires ,
