just wanted to let everyone know that some of us is going to be staying at the Days Inn Jasper, 101 N. 6th ave. Jasper, 205-221-7800. internet prices was cheaper then calling, military 10% off and a nonrefundable reservation is 15% off, regular price is 67.00 per night. it's 17 miles from the park, bout 30 min drive. Get your beer an whatever in Jasper there's nothing between jasper and the park. about 12-15 miles. That is what the owner told me. hope this helps someone.

First off I would like to say thanks for the interest in our new park. I really think everyone will enjoy it. Thought I would post up the rules for the bounty climb.


These are the rules for the Bounty Hill climb that will be held on Saturday July 13th around 1p.m.

To enter the climb you'll need to sign up at the gate. There is no fee to enter only the admission to the park.

We will have a drivers meeting around 11:30 and start the climb around 1.

Each competitor will draw a number to see what order they will be climbing in.

There will be a 2 minute time limit for each vehicle and you can hit it as many times as you want within the time .

If you lose momentum during the climb you will have a short period to regain traction if you can't do not dig into to the hill. you must back up and try again. There's no point in ruining the hill for the next competitor.

The first competitor to climb the hill will bust the bounty and receive 80% of the purse!

From that point if more than one person climbs the hill than the fastest person up will receive the other 20%.

If only one person climbs the hill than he will receive 100% of the purse!!

SOMEONE IS GOING TO WIN ALOT OF MONEY!!!!!

Have y'all ever seen such a wet July down here? Biscuit mtn could be Biscuit Island right now. The forecast up until fri calls for an average of an hour a day. Choose your grip well . I'm guessing the dirt is washed out of the cracks and pits and 3 tons of washed down dirt are at the starting point, leaving more exposed rocks. That is better than a half foot of powdered dust that we are used to in July. Great weather for moist traction and clean air filters. Should be the perfect showdown event.

If I win I am going to buy everybody a case of beer. I hope a 1000+ people don't fight over the 24 beers...

Always keep a $1 Walmart plastic poncho stuck inside your coozie in your tool bag permanently. Somethings just have to stay in place. From the main parking area it's a short distance to the bounty very good road all the way to the foot of the hill.

I don't think it likes us...The weather for fri thru sun so far, is partly sunny and just a small chance of a 15 minute rain fri n sat. 30 min for sunday. basically a small hit and miss. Precipitation lite. Mid 80's.According to Alabama Weather 33 40. 7 day forecast as of thurs nite.
