I dont get in the white car, i get in my jeep which is usually muddy too. Plus, when i got home all muddy, she said "I want one." Now i am looking for another frame for her.

as far as the tires being backwards, they were mounted like that when i got the buggy. I have been told they pull better like that on a light weight buggy because they pull dirt/mud toward the center instead of throwing it out the side so they dig better. I dont know if that is true or not so maybe someone else can tell more about it. I do know one thing, they throw a lot of mud turned backwards.

some of the guys i have rode with say to do that when the front edge of the lugs are all tore up cause the back side still has good edge--i tried it and it went ok, but i think they do better going the way there supposed to.--you may have to break them down to switch them--it would depend on how the rims are dished to just swap em side to side.

I know a bunch of guys that climb those loose coal hills at Trevorton, Pa. They all swear by running them backwards.

I have run off into some big mud holes and wish my tires were on backwards so I could back out. I imagine they would do good in sand and loose gravel. I think I should try that on a pass at the next tuff truck chalenge. 8)

Why not do it before -so you will know before you get to the challange, and then regret that you changed them . When they are ran the direction they are designed, they clean themselves out whem in mud [sticks to things- gravel, sand and rock dosen't]. If it were the way to go, don't you think the thousands of farmers out there would be running them that way to? As for the offset --- why would you think he would have a different offset on one side to cause him not to swap sides to make them run the correct way.

if they bolt on.......they bolt om, no matter what the dish is on the rims. You dont have to break them down, just switch them side for side, but the dish of the rim would be the same.

Thanks for the invite. I didnt even know about this site untill you told me about it. As for the buggy, i dont know a lot about it. If anybody can tell me what kind of frame it looks like i would appreciate it. It is a stock 1600 VW engine, 5 rib tranny, cutting brakes. There is still a lot i want to

No problem, glad to see you over here also. There are so many on here that have more experience with rails and VW's that is directed towards woodsbuggy rails. Our type of riding and the abuse we put them through is different than those that ride in the dunes. If this is the type of riding you will be doing this is the place to be. If all goes well I will be at the Georgia Dome to compete in the Tuff Truck races Saturday. I want to do that for sure and hoping to be on TV and have the WoodsBuggy.com sticker shown would be way cool.

Here is a picture of ours. This is at Windrock on trail 22 at one of the gas pump things. We were on a trail clean up day and the boy was only 5 at the time and loves to ride.
