Haha, I was drinking too much last night. If I removed all the bent stuff I wouldn't have a buggy. Not yet Mike, it's like $15 a foot from Bill. Trying to get it from my old job. I think it was $8.00 a foot when you asked me about it last year.

Mike your buggy is looking bad ass. Can't wait to see it climb.

Just remember the ID is important. You don't want a real thick beam bushing.

im in the shop making your link pins . im using 7\8 Allen bolts for them we will see if they hold up better then 4140 . if you have brad on your research and development team he will make your part fail

So far my rear trailing arms are holding up to Brad's torture test. I guess only time will tell.

mike what size tube do you use for the beam is it DOM or chrome-moly .i used chrome-moly on his beam and arms .I wanted to go with thicker tubing but i was worried it was too much weight. as it was i used .125 on the beam and .187 on the arms.and the bar part on the arm that slides in the beam i used 1.500 OD x .750 ID and he still bent it

The tubing for the beam I used is 2 1/4" OD X 1 3/4 ID X 1/4" wall DOM. Ya its heavy, but Ody and Plumberbill haven't been able to hurt them, so far.

The material on the arms are top secret.

Something has to give!!!! His last roll would have destroyed stock stuff or most aftermarket !!!! I would rather bend a beam than my frame.

I agree with somethings got to give. either your gonna bend the frame, or you'll build it so stout that nothing gives except your bones and organs. if you look at most cars, those things are made to crunch and absorb the impact. but you got to build it, so when you do crash or roll it, it wont destroy the buggy and you will still be able to walk away from it. if you look at this picture, the full force of his buggy landed on that wheel. and like dave said, it would have ripped most buggies apart. as it was, it bent it up not too bad and didnt ruin his weekend. and he lived to tell about it. now where do we go from here? we could build it like a tank, it will weigh more and not bend at all, or should we leave some room for impact.

I even think yours would've bent maybe not the beam but something would've he hit hard.

All I bent was my roof Brad, wtf... Which by the way, is still bent. I also need to do some stuff to my single seater, or sell it. and the two seater needs lots of attention. Shit.

Mike are you still making trailing arms? I tore my right rear at the end of last season, and I'm looking to replace them both. I wouldn't mind spending the money to get something that will hold up. My riding style is pretty similar to Brad's, so if they are holding up to him I'm sure they will do me just fine!

Front beam on ours is 1/8" thick T45 (similar to your chromoly), only bent it once and that was after hitting a tree at 40mph....

saterday night we made a front beam out of 2 1\4 od x 1 3\4 id dom . when it has done that weighted a ton

That is good for two reasons.
First it will help keep his front end down on the hills.
And second, mass is the only thing that's going to hold up when the front end doesn't stay down.
What did you use for the uprights? That tubing or something else?
