Dang dude, you owe me some money, you charged me 325 plus i went to your house and picked it up. well if i see you out in wellsville, you owe me a beer. that 30 inch light bar, is AWESOME. best thing i bought for the buggy besides the beer cooler. that light is so bright, it not only lights up the trail infront of you, it will light up the trees above you, the dirt right infront of the bumper, and also out to the sides. All i can say is that thing is bright as hell.

What size light bar would 1 need to equal two 100 watt sealed beam bulbs?
What size light bar would I need to equal two 55 watt halogen bulbs?
What size light bar would I need to equal two 35 watt HID?
I would like to see the comparisons in Lumans between the 3 examples

I was reading up on subject and this is what I came up with, I hope it helps....
100 watt sealed.....1600 lumens need one 3x3 cube
35 HID.....5250 lumens x2 = 10,500 need a 30" led
55 watt halogen.....1210 lumens x2 = 2,420 need a 6" led

i have the same hids as odyknuck and there's no question they are bright as hell. this is proven by the reaction of oncoming traffic out on the trail, arm extended foward with hand spread wide open
Ive gotta say i was impressed with afterburnts leds as to how bright they were and the wide flood like pattern they produce. might have to add some supplemental lighting this year my night vision isnt quite what it used to be.

There is a formula. 1 lm = 1 cd·sr = 1 lx·m2, With a long drawn out explanation those are just some generic numbers I came up with.
So a 20" bar compairs to two 35 watt hid's too, that even better :D

If any of you guys have facebook, add 330 Powersports on there. There are a few videos comparing HID to LED bars. It might help you figure it out better.

Also on my facebook page I have contest with free giveways and numerous sales....

Thanks AJ

I was hoping Powersports would have answered that question, he wants to sell let him sell.
I asked the question because the biggest light bar I can put on my car is a 12 inch. I didn't think a single 12 inch light for would be enough compared to the 3 examples I gave. I am in the same situation as Bill, my night vision isn't what it used to be. So it looks like I will either run two 35 watt HIDs or two 100 watt KC daylighters . And maybe a 12 inch light for on the roof.

I don't go on facebook. I'm on woodsbuggy. There are a lot of people here on woodsbuggy who don't go on facebook. So how bout having some contests and free giveaways, and numerous sales on woodsbuggy? At least share with us. Or at least become one of our sponsors. As much as I like this light, and that 30" light bar is about all of the light you need. My plan is to add 2 more small ones or 2 4" HIDs. The reason being is I don't like running only one light. If I broke it, or something happens to it, you're out of luck. At least with a set of backups, you can keep riding all night long. And by the way, when I bought my light, AJ said there is a 1 year warranty on this light. So if you don't break it in half, you should be good for a year.

I just finished remounting my light. with the light bar being so big, i was worried i was going to destroy it. So i wrapped the bar in 1 inch OD 187 wall chrome molly. I made new mounts and mounted the light and then i made the roll bar around the light, about 1 inch away from the light bar. so it can bend some without touching the light. the last time i was out riding, i got caught sideways on a real steep hill, while i was waiting for some help, i kept looking at the light thinking im not ready to smash it yet. thats when i decided the winter project was going to be remounting the light.
