I was gonna go to the Cold Spot on Tue. but went down Wellsville today and rode for 30 min. and hit a tree. I'm down for the count now.

Was the torsion housing the only thing that broke? It looks like it can be welded fairly easy.

Ouch!!!, that sucks! Looks like you can weld it, but it will not hold as good when welded, but you can add gussets around it to get by, but would'nt hurt to try to repair it. Worst case scenario is replacing the whole clip. Sorry for the bad luck. If you get it fixed, come on down to the Cold Spot.

It's easier to fix than that. I'm going to machine a piece of solid round with a big champher that we can drive into the housing, lining it back up and then weld it up soild. Be ready to run next week.

Dammit Dave. I hate to see that.At least it didn't happen after you hauled it all the way to the Cold Spot.

No it wasn't but I hit the same tree every time, so the chainsaw just might get used.

That does suck. Sounds like there is a good plan for a fix though. Is it me or is your Avatar huge or what?

Your avatar (to be specific lol) is about 10 inches wide. I have to scroll left and right to read any posts.
