looking for a reverse lockout plate that goes in the shifter. the one i have is for an autostick which has a much different shift pattern. I tried to flip it upside down to make it work but it just made things worse I now have to push the shifter down to get 1st and 2nd is darn near impossible. have cash or some new bug parts to trade. I really need this and cant seem to find one.

should be, i've never had one of those type. its gonna be better than what you have. only thing is the slight angle back that is it has to it, is gonna bring the shift throw back further when goin to R, 2 and 4. that little bend can make a big difference in the throw!guess it depends on how close your shift box is. if you think it would be an issue , go with the scat drag fast shifter and be done with it! and its free shipping on orders over $75, so get your moneys worth

my shifter feels a little far forward now so this should be ok. yes i always take advantage of the free shipping I ordered a oil fill cap and remote crankcase breather to bump it up there.

I have had issues with the type you ordered. The shift ball is made of steel and threaded into aluminum shaft, mine broke at the aluminum threads leaving me stuck in 2nd for the ride back to camp. I have also ripped the top of of a cheap buggy shift box. So get it set up good and don't speed shift and you should be fine.

It will be a definite improvement over a stock unit.

Lastly there is a Allen set screw just under the T handle take it out and lock tight it with the blue so it doesn't vibrate loose and make you talk dirty.

I'm sure I wont tare this one up more fore fear of tearing up the tyranny less for fear of the shifter. I appreciate the advice on the screw ill be sure to do that before I install it. Sucks I wont be able to use my skull knob but it will find a perminent place on the buggy.
