Bought the rod, figured I can make the clip.

I'm looking for the pushrod and clip that goes from the brake pedal to the master cylinder. Anybody have a spare laying around?

basically want to make something like this. you will have to wack one of the forks off the clevis to make it fit the pin on your pedal but as strong as these clevis's are i dont think it will matter. you could do the same with a hiem joint but you would have to weld on a longer pin to be able to get a clip on or just drill a hole and nut &bolt it.

Waaaaaay, out of the budget for now. I found a couple of pushrods on Samba for $14-15, I think I'll just get one of those for now

Good bet dude, I would save your money and when your ready for a set of upgraded pedal get a set of Wildwood individual pedals and master cylinders, they are not much more but there is no comparison in quality. In this hobby spend your money once, then you only cry once.

If you desire a hydraulic clutch with the stock pedal assembly you can use a Nissan or Toyota clutch master and make a bracket to mount it and you now have hydraulic stock pedals for like $12.00 and some fab. You will need a CNC slave cylinder or a stock VW bus hydraulic slave off a later model bus.

I am about three hours North, if you need some help on a weekend let me know ahead of time and I will bring my buggy and some tools down to help you out. Make a list of some of the parts you need and post them on here. You can get some great gently used parts on this site.

Best of luck, we have your back.

Really! That's awesome of you to offer! This hobby/message board is amazing. Are all buggy folks like you guys? I've been a member here for about 5 minutes and I've been offered several parts and now tools and help to get me going. I thought the motorcycle community was close, they have nothing on the buggy community. And it's not like you guys are just down the road, that's quite a drive. I know, I went to Chattanooga not too long ago to look at a bike. I'm definitely here to stay and will give back in any way I can. If anybody has any computer issues, let me know. If you can connect to the Internet, I can usually remote in and fix most issues while you watch.
