Hey when you tire of wrenching and want to start riding come join the Water Cooled guys on the dark side. More time for fabricating and experimenting. Not to mention you don't have oil all over the floor.

Well your marking the Earth. Get that Stroker to run 4200 RPM for 6 hours then lets compare your pile of parts to our Water cooled with the rad fans running. I have said it again and again if $$$ were brains AC guy would be Genius. Since I live in the Obama economy I will stick with my 265 horse $850.00 salvage yard Acura.

No not broke, and not toy poor. I have built the $8,000.00 Type 4 and ran it for two years. It spent more time on the bench than in the car. The math is spend it where you get the most bang for your buck. I guess my home built chassis make me cheap too. Oh I am sorry I don't just bolt S*#T on I build. I won't be sawing on to many hills just going over the top at just over idle 235 FTLBS at 3500 RPM. Come take a ride on the dark side then you will use your AC for a boat anchor.

Oh I do love this banter as well. I ran AC crap for better than 15 years. I do not learn real fast but with Age comes Wisdom "Get You Sum" (Darrell).

I've probably spent enough money on a/c motors to buy an Acura off the show room floor and pull the motor, lol.but I just love to spend money I guess.i love a/c vw motors always have always will.just getting a stir going at your expense you just bit to easy.everybody try's to get by as cheap as they can for what they want but sometimes what you want cost more.I'll one day build me a suby or ecotech buggy, probably a four seater or trail buggy.but for an all out climbing and raising he'll buggy I'll stick to my a/c buggy, might cost me more but that's just the way I am I guess.everybody's got their own.need to figure out a sarcasm font for ruffling feathers, lol. Hey I am just playing along. I don't get my feelings hurt, and if it were all about money I would be running an Ecotech or Suby. I just like Honda power- Be it a torquey V6 or a screaming 2.2 liter S2000 for my hill killer build. I still have to build a single seat car or use the class I Rabbit Racing chassis I have in Florida. I am new to Tennessee and the unique types of trails and soil conditions. Climbing hill made of sand and some clay is quite different from the rocky soil up here.
The point I am trying to make is I know a lot about Buggies but I don't know it all. If I added up all the cash I have spent building the four cars I have owned I could buy a real nice 40x60 building and a new Acura but those were different times. To my knowledge other than Tim's hill climber I have the only 3.2 Acura Buggy in Tennessee, take a close look and you will find a bunch of custom fab one off parts.

I enjoy stirring the pot just as much if not more.

So unless you bring 4 quarts of oil with you everywhere were do you find some when it leaks out or a oil line breaks. Unless your in PA then you can find oil by the river, or the belt breaks and now you can't charge or cool the engine.

What happens when you over heat a WC you get steam and maybe a blown head gasket. With an AC you get one big chunk of aluminum and steel all fused together.

How many AC guy does it take to change a light bulb? They can't they are busy cleaning their carb jets.

Did you know that a AC VW motor can be converted into an air compressor, I just found out what the best use for one, air compressor or you can use it to turn an armature and you have a real expensive generator that you con only run for an hour at a time.

I still think the best use of a AC case is to climb hills at night just add fire and man its day time.

1 or maybe 2 times a year. I am easy on it tho.Haha. Beat that bitch regular. Sorry neither one of my 1835 s dropped much oil. Very little out of my 1915. The oil in my tool box is old still got half court in it. Most of time I'll be adding a tad in woods. Unlevel didn't even need it. Over way to much when I check when level. Better safe rhan sorry tho in ny book. No shit I truly very rarely gave to touch ANYTHING on my motor. Had a 15 yr old loose 1815 I never even adjusted the valves on. No matter what else was ready to fall off rail that old 1835 was steadfast always. I would still have it if I didn't put on the wrong sand seal. It was leaking I needed a excuse to get a new one. I Love my a/c. Nothing like it. I am not a mechanic. Besides getting in block ther isn't much I'm afraid to attempt. That in itself is enough reason for me to stay a/v. I can get myself out of the woods. New shit with sensors and computors and shit. Wow in the dark drunk trying to get one of them started. Keep it simple.

Well just checked them. Got a couple alittle too tight. Looks like number two for this year. Only takes a couple minutes to check.
