my question is will an adapter plate is for a 2.2 subie will it fit any vw trany

as in a 6,5,and a 3 rib or is there a separate adapter for each

i dont know much about subie---but the bolt pattern on any vw tranny is the same---3rib,5,6, or car they all bolt to any VW motor

I ran my ej22 on a 3 rib and swithced to 6rib with no problem. I did keep the 3 rib bell housing. I think the adapter plate takes out the concern of the mainshaft being long. I think the ej22 plate will work on ej33 and ej25 also. Good luck. 8)

just got my suby kit monday. they said the only difference is the lenth of the bolts for the bell housing. other than that they are the same plate. The six-rib bolts are 1/4 inch longer

Good secrets are hard to keep. Maybe chaindrive will catch on as well pocketrocket 8) , and Tanner if you need any help with the modifications just let us know.

2.0, 2.2, 2.5 all fit the same plate. The 6 cylinders take a different adaptor.
