Can't see the head . But I think the wrist pin lock came out and the pin slide over 1/2 why and broke the piston . Look at the rod good .

Could it be the very thin cylinder walls?

if you use teflon buttons with pistons that take the short wrist pin that will cause it. just happened to my buddies brandnew motor during break in. took us a min to figure out what happened.

They are AA jugs and pistons that might be the whole problem?? They had the spiral lock clips on wrist pin.

Thats exactly what happened the spiral lock came out and the wrist pin came out to. On the AA pistons the wrist pin will nearly come out of the rod when they are out that far. So I think when the pin was out on the cylinder wall it busted the piston and it took off from there. I would definatly tear the bottom end down and make sure to get it all out.   Dude that sucks.

I would just about bet money that the rod is bent. It may have been bent to start with and that is what caused the spiro lok to get knocked out. As for the heads, you can't beat the CB cnc ported heads for the money.

Yeah it definetly took a beating im going to buy new rods to be safe, if I dont go with the mofoco heads I was wanting to try the CB wedge ports. A friend of mine is runing mini wedges on a 1915 and it will run like a scalded ape so I thought about runing kinda the same set up with my 2275.

Thanks for the info

The mini wedge ports or the new Super Pro heads would be a better choice. Personally I would go with the Super Pro.
