This first vid is of my good friend MICKEYMOUSE not the one on here.It was the first conversion that I know of .I sold it to Jeff busby and he sold it to MM.It's a bad ass ride with a 2276 CB performance motor.The second is My Buddy Matt (GA Hill Climber)Mr Burns built that one .And last but not least the last was My wife's I copped a rebel frame when I built it it's just a lot bigger than a rebel then.It had 3x3, built 6 rib, 2276 motor long travel front end combo spindle then I converted it and my wife said YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS ALL ALONE.Now it has a v8 and Kevin Thomas owns it

I have a question for rock or some of the CD guys. Whats the best auto tranny for a CD? I hear you have to have them built for like 1500 to 1800 bucks but then they're pretty dang tough with a CD set up.

A bus automatic or a Audi automatic will work.You can run it stock if you run a low HP motor like a vw or 4 cylinder of any kind.Wade ran a stock one it held for awhile befor it roasted.My buddy Mac ran a car auto (aluminum) out of a fast back it worked well with a VW 2276

Thanks Rock. So would a built auto bus tranny handle 400 hp? Also I saw where you said you never broke a chain. Thats awesome. Did you have any CD's with big horse power? Did you ever break cv joints, axles, trannys? Sorry about a million questions I just really wanna know what I'm getting into.

Are chaindrives allowed in this weekends comp?

At the time the hill climb series started We were kept out by passing rules to keep us out.Now they are changed.But you want see any there unless Wade shows up. And the bad thing is the ones that got there asses kissed ain't coming either now Damn Ironic ain't it

and the reason the "no bolts" was used originaly was because not all parks allow them and the committee didnt wanted to keep everything the same from park to park so there would be no confussion about it (contrary to what some believe it had nothing to do with keeping the chaindrives out, they could still compete even then as long as they did not have bolted tires), however, last year we decided to lift that rule and go by whether or the park allows bolts or not so just call the park or check their website to see if they allow bolts or not, but yes chocollocco does allow bolts

Wilbourns did not allow bolts but the chaindrives did very well there with their non bolted tires.

But would have been at the top if we ran bolts like the buggy was designed for.

When the rules were posted it said no bolted tires.And no 4x4 .Then well some one said we forgot about Mark so they changed the rules .So now 4x4 are allowed just not bolts.The thing that pissed me off was they couldn't change the rules fast enough for a (at the time)non member but me no way.A moderator on the site and Woodsbuggy contributor.Now if the rules were amended to say Bolts ok if the park allows it then that would have been another deal.Marty and Bruce were not getting along with me at the time and they chose to rule me out .The only thing I ever asked was to run bolts if the park allowed it but it didn't happen .Now that's how it happened ,He asked ,Now he knows.it's a little too late

just to clarify that was 3 year ago and their is now new committee members with new rules

i got a little more info on this and i heard that it like cuts your power in half if you have a 400 hp motor it takes it down to 200 so i dont know about doing it with the vw motor
