this just sounds bad u need to get someone who knows what they r doing and get them to fix it for u too many varibles to just guess pistons rods and machine work to deck all play a factor in compression

It needs to come apart and have everything measured. If the pistons you installed are stroker versions it probably won,t have enough compression to even start.

You want .040 to .060 from the piston to the head + you need to cc the heads to come up with the compression ratio . Go to cb performance eng. calculator .If you wont to run pump gas you need no more then 9.5

Yes or bugpack has a tool part 7007 deck height measuring tool and feeler gauges. Call one of the sponsors like Drews.

A simple way of doing deck height is roll piston to top dead center and measure with a machinest rule from top of piston to the top of the jug 2.5 millimeters is equivalent to sixty thousands if my memory serves me right. If you have a stock bottom end u need non stroke pistons also known as (A) pistons. If you want you can go as low as thirty thousands deck height. It has been done but the piston can tag the head in high rpm applications. Just food for thought. Hope this was helpful :D
