 Post subject: Dual 45 Dellorto Problem

A buddy of mine is trying to put a set of dual 45 dellorto's on his 1915 just wondering what jets should be in it. idle jets=60,high speed=80,immulsion tubes= f11 thats about all i know we've done about al we can do other than use them as boat ankers lol

Its popping and cracking real bad and the might be 180's ill have to look again but we've had them apart 4 different times and nothing looks stopped up

Are they in sync. And do the 4 idle -mixture adjustment scews work . If not look for intake leak.

Popping at idle maybe idle jet or idle circuit blocked . Will it run at med to hi RPMs?

Runs good at high rpms seems like u clean one thing and something else goes wrong

Clean gas tank fuel fillter and carbs . Idle jets and ports are small .

Still could have a bad seal on your gasket. I've seen them leak and when you open it up it would run fine.guess it was sucking it down tight or something.the elusive carb monster.every now and then you can catch one and get rid of them.but everynow and then they get in and out, and leave little turds everywhere to figure out how to clean up.Chad :mrgreen:

Man I like how dual carbs make a motor come to life but you'll hate them til you get them right
