I like the Cnc stuff myself personally.you got to think that by running these arms you are also running all bus stuff.so if your running car stuff now you will have to buy all new everything.930 cvs are stronger but you have to think about your trans,if your running stock trans gears then you probably don't want to make your cvs stronger than the trans, rather trash a cv than trash a trans.I've ran bus cvs and I'm probably harder on stuff than most anybody and I've spun a few but that was due to stock arms with raised really beyond the limits of what it should have been.since I've went 2x3arms I've never spun one.2x3 arms with the stock bus axles and cvs is really the best way to go with stock gears and you save money and time.that extra inch is a lot more money if you tear up something and it's more stress on the cvs IMO .Chad

i have the cnc pedal set, never had a problem with them....also i have the 3x3 appletree arms and GO WITH 930! youre going to upgrade trans anyway so might as well solve all your cv problems now and not have to worry about cvs 930 930 930

As already mentioned,I would just go with 2x3 arms for the reasons Chad stated. You don't really need 930 cv's either. You can run stock bus axles and cv's with 2x3 arms. The money you save going 2x3 and bus cv's could be better spent on other parts of the buggy.(Like a new gas tank that don't leak and let water in! LMAO)

I can take a 1641 and out drive and go places a lot guys wish they could go,lol.besides that doesnt mean I was easier on it but that it goes or blows motto was put to the test every ride.I've seen bus cv's run a lot of big motors and heavy buggies as well.I think you was just trying to make fun of my little motor  ,lol.Chad

Chad I would never pick on the little motor. I was pickin on you
Also want to point out you can run for years on a sedan tranny in the woods if you bolt a lawnmower engine behind it

Personally I look at it this way, good parts are more money up front. But, if you will end up needing them at some point anyways it is cheeper over all to buy them in the first place rather then upgrade a second or third time later.

The only reason you would need 930's over bus cv's is if you need the travel.a bus cv ran on 2x3's with in the correct angle ratio will run anything you put to it from a 1600 to a 2500.so if he plans on running more angle than 17 degrees he can get type 4 ( porsche 924/944 vw thing 181) witch is still a 33 spline 100 mm cv and get 22 degrees and the 930 only gets you 25 degrees.so for 3 degrees is it worth the money, for different,cv's,axles, stubs, drive flanges than 90% of the people run if you brake and need a spare. unless your planning on building something with to the limits of travel and dump the clutch every time you move I'd say go ahead and put 934's hell they are even bigger and badder.I agree with buying the best for you intend to do,but if he already knows he's going to put to these limits then by all means spend it once and be done.but I am just speaking from what I've seen and been around, from my own opinion.Chad

Well to me this comes down to whats the cost of each? If its within $200 then I would upgrade, around $400 then I wouldnt. But part of my reason for that is that I live far from everywhere (goegraphical oddity, lol) So a close trip cost me at least $200 to $300 bucks everytime. And if I show up and break it does not get any cheeper. So to me it is about surviving the weekend and making it to the trailer. Saving $200 or $300 on a better part is not worth it if it means I have to load shortly after I get somewhere. Now if I could just talk myself into $2k worth of weddle gears I would be good to go. Not saying I am right, but that is my logic. If the trails were out my backdoor luck like a few guys have it my logic would be different.

Well we will use latest rage as example,$945 for 3x3 930 kit.$300 for 2x3,$180 for brand new cvs axles boots bolts grease and all.that little less than $500 difference.I'm sure there different options but between $400 to $500 dollars difference you can figure.now you can crack ass jokes about lawn mower motors and car trannys all you want but that's money you don't need to spend unless your looking at running at steep axle angles.you can bust a cv with a pipe wrench if you put it in the right bind.now are 930's stronger I'd say yes.but I'm going to give a response from experience.not from because I bought one with them or because I was told I had to have them.if the man can save some money and not have to have them then why buy them.I've got friends that run 2387's,ecotechs,2300 fords, and even a v8 caddy motor on bus cv's,so I know they will do the job.so if money's not an option go big I guess.Chad
