What's your opinion bill ? Compared to other sxs ?

considering i have never owned one my opinion is based on others experience. i started the thread so that i could get a bit more educated regarding side by sides.

Bill I would suggest going to SxS sites to get educated on them. There are not enough SxS owners here to be of much help.

Try this one:

I've had my XP900 since March 2011, with no issues.
It did have a recall to add a heat shield behind the firewall.

i have read that there slightly sluggish off the start but i have also seen a youtube video with the wildcat, commander and the 900xp in a shoot out from start to finish. the wildcat was the first to finish.
some of the reports of slow response are from guys that have gone to factory test rides that are set up for potential riders/buyers. odyknuck mentioned that its possible that these test vehicles might be "detuned" because of insurance and liability issues.

its always been my theory that the "test" machines are "better" than the "de-tuned" retail machines to try and make it look as possible compared to the competitors machine and also to try and reduce warranty claims regardless of brand, but this is just my train of thought

When I went to the Demo test ride for the Commanders there was a definate difference in the power being lower than the Commander I actually bought. Alls it takes is a few keystrokes on a Laptop to change the timing and fuel curve on todays engines to detune them.
