i would like to have chrome but ive always heard it makes an engine run hotter, so im thinking about getting it powdercoated and was thinking about black since it will pretty much go with any color you choose on the frame plus its what vw used at the factory, but a black vehicle is the hottest one in a parking lot when the sun is shining, i may be overthinking it a little or maybe it dont even change the temps that much regardless what the finish is :?

Black is hotter for sure in the sun,and vw ran a deck lid.have you looked at some of the chrome powdercoats they look good,I've been cleaning a set up to take and have done myself.a lot less maintenenc just spray it off,I've got to say I've been running the same chrome shroud and tins for 4 years and even with a lot a cleaning the shroud looks good but the tins bake the mud on and are starting to Pitt even with good cleaning between rides.Chad

i inquired about the "almost chrome" powder and the local guy suggested for show cars only, he said that you can drag a finger nail across it and leave lines on it but that has been the only input i have had on it keeping its "shine" so that is why was asking on here but evidently only me and you are running tin either :?

either that everybody else is too worried about what a woodsbuggy is or aint
