Looks like you got a good start. You need to add the front race brace, a set of tree bars and don't forget the X bracing behind the seats. Also I would suggest a second set of roof bars on the outside edges of the roof line. Look for some of my photos, you'll see what I mean.

thanxs and im still working on the bracing i spent close to 4 1/2 to 5 hours making the front bumper alone today lol

the hand pipe bender is realyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy slow but it gets the job done

its from a suzki sameri that i built for a guy i put full size blazer axles under it frount and rear with hydralic stearing so i had it laying around and the fact its coming out of a 4wd i think it ought to hold up better than that dinky vw stearing box

yea i know i race motocross and i do all my work and take allot of pride in it as well as all the work i do but thanks for the compliments everyone they relay help me not to get discouraged on this project b.c its taken forever iv been working on it for about a year now maybe a little less but still thats along time for me im not a very patient person lol but im becoming one from working on this project

Looks great! I did notice however you are going to have one hell of a time unbolting your bumper, seeing as the top is welded directly into the frame, correct me if im wrong. Might want to weld flanges on to the end of the tubes and bolt it up top as well.

i know it is solid on the top to mount points and yes the bottom two are solid to the botom clamps but heres a pic of what i was going to do on the top mounting points b.c i dont want to have flanges i hate the way they look and i think this idea is going to be alot stronger than the flange

tell me if you think otherwise b.c its only tacked together right now so changes can be made





the black is the main tube that you can see in the real pics right now

the red is the inside od tube of the black one

the green is bolts

what my plan to do was cut the black and insert the red pipe and drill 4 holes to bolt it all together

sorry for being vague i just have a hard time explaing my thoughts through words i just know it in my head and can picture what i want

I did something similiar to the front of my wife's buggy, I also hate bulky lookin flanges. I think it oughta work fine. Might be a bear if it gets bent to get it back together, like mine, but oh well. just have to cut it out and re-do it.
You are doing a nice job on that rail. Inspiring my 13 year old alot.
(As if he needs any inspiration, he's already ate up w/ buggies, like me ) Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Tanner, It is looking good.Keep up the good work and keep us posted. I am using a 3800 v-6, with a factory wiring harness similar to yours. With a haynes manual and a little common sense I was able to reduce my wiring by about 75%. No relays,no fuse boxes,(only a couple in line), no funky boxes of unknown origin,no doo-dads or dohickies. The only thing left is what it needs to run. I think that will make repairs and diagnosing problems easier. Good luck.

well my dad helped me out on the buggy for Christmas he orderd me a set of pedals and also got me the adapter plate for the subie and the mounting kit for the 6rib

here is some of the 6 rib the rest hasnt come in yet







and yes my dad is not very mechanically inclined he cant tell the difference between a wrench and a flat head screw driver lol

so he just bought me the whole bus minus a motor







so i finally am making some more progress and i fell like im getting closer to the woods!! just cant come fast enough
