If you use a chevy journal crank you can go up to 76mm without clearancing. A 78mm chevvy journal will fit with very minimal clearance work where the rod bolts get close to the cylinder spigots. Both of these combos are using h-beam rods.

Go as big as you want,,,I like what Aaron told you with the Chevy Journal..A friend of mine put a 5.7 liter Chevy crank in his case. LOL that being said came alot of grinding. Basically the case is just a thin hull, but it seems to work good for him.

I have an AS41 case with 82 MM Chevy stroke and H beam 5.5 rods. Don't be skeered to do it yourself, just TAKE YOUR TIME , and pay attention to the details. My 2110 pulls 157 hp on the dyno with CB mini wedgeport heads and dual 44 webers. I am considering a propane conversion. $ for $, you may want to consider a Subie. OH, did I say that???????

Bye the way,I know the Subie croud are ruffeling their feathers now, but you could consider the other WC setups. Rotarys, great HP, but no torque. Trust me on that one because I've worked on the rotarys for 30 years, and I've NEVER seen one blown up, They just don't have the bottom end torque you'll appreciate, or need. Good Luck!
AND, Talk about LOUD.?

It's a 10-1 motor Dave. That's why it's puttin out high numbers and the wedge port heads really work well.
