PhillipM and MartinB are from across the pond over in the UK but not sure if anybody else is from anywhere closer or not

i had an uncle stationed in germany for 4 years and he really liked it over there, especially the autobahn, he said they actually had less crashes per year than we did on over here on the interstates. however that was about 25 years ago lol

Which base are you going to?

You won't find many Woodsbuggies in Europe but to be fair the Germans and Austrians love mad sports so I'm sure you'll find something to entertain you :)

I have brought back over 30 trans from Europe. Most were 5 speeds or 542 3 ribs.My son has ran a 5 speed since 2005 and is still going strong .(483 rand p with a 411 1st and 233 2nd and so on).Doing the math it pulls like a 529 final drive.

Plenty of woods on that base! ;) take your buggy with you!

Its a nice part of Germany, its on the outer limits of where our bombers reaches in the 40's so not quite so bleak as places like Essen. Wolfsburg, the home of VW is close by, as is Stuttgart for Porsche and Mercedes.
Prague is not too far away either
