 Post subject: timing?

new to aircooled and buggies in general....so... what is the a good starting point for setting the timing on my 1915? i found a video that has a nice little simple way to do it without a strobe but honestly dont know if its even worth my time what do u think? figure if it is it would be easy with the degree pulley that is on there...

32 degrees at 3500 RPM. Set it there and forget it.

just so everyone knows i tried vid method then went timing light..... 2 degree difference. for me anyways...
