 Post subject: Can it be done?

I've go a side shift 091(not mid shift in the case but on the nose cone)
Can it be converted to nose shift with a donor tranny?
I've looked aronud on the forums here and can't seem to find a definite answer

Yes it can be done. Thats what I have now and it works great. You just have to use the mid section from the nose shift. I would recomend letting someone do it that has done it before. Chuck Jones is my choice of tranny builders. 8)

In theory all your doing is putting your gears into another 091 transaxle. Your doing the same thing if you use the guts out of it to repair a broken 6 rib.

I know of a fella near merango that does them, but dont have his # or know if he would even do it.

Thanks for the offer i might take you up on that when i get a donor tranny rounded up.
if you live in louisville how long does it take you to get to london ky
