I would start with some shocks then some better straps for the gas tank. Also a soild roof sun burns suck after a long day of rideing.

tree bars

i have ordered...

1. new shocks all around
2. new exhaust (used chrome tri-mill)
3. rotor rear brakes (complete set.)

i think i need new trailing arms? the rear tire on the passenger side points outward. i would like to order the ones off this site if they are in my price range...(couldn't find the price.) i also tryed to bend it back... didn't work.

i need to have my cousin fab. up some tree gaurds for the rear tires i think. (if that is what your talking about. could you show me so pictures....

You may want to get a air filter more like a paper one. The oil bath ones dont work well for woods. Are those the cable for the clutch and gas run right by the seat in the open. If they are you may want to run them in a pipe to keep them out of the way or look into some cnc.

Also you may want to look into some raceing seats. My dad had the fiberglass ones in his old one and they would cut my hands when i was a kid.

I'd get a real strap or two gas tank. Once some gas gets on that nylon strap it will get weak.

oh yeah, i have a two inch pipe for the filter. i have already switched the carb., from a single to a double barrel. and the seat issues, i have two racing seat out of an eclipse that i had fixed up. with that i also have 4 point harnesses.

This is the way I have my tree bars. The tubing is .095 wall that we use for most everything. Hope these help you on your tree bars.

It looks like all of those tree bars angle up slightly. Is that true? and if so what is the reason for that?

Clearance over rocks or other trail debris. Really depends on what you want as well. I might be wrong but we angle ours to get over rocks and such. Keeping them straight out on a Baja won't hurt anything and be as good as the angled. You will want to go straight I am guessing so you can still open the doors.

The reason we angle ours up is for the additional ground clearance. Rocks, stumps, logs, whatever, have a tendency to get hung up on a bar that is straight out.
