Get Your Power Wheels Ready

I am in the process of lining up a new vendor to sponsor the POWER WHEELS DOWN HILL CHALLENGE..

On Friday night May 20th.. the night before the WindRock hill climb will be the 1st Power Wheels Down Hill Challenge.....

Here are the general rules.. (Subject to be modified at any time)
Adult's only - 18 and over.. (Anyone younger would have too much fun..)
Use any typical power wheels vehicle without the drive motors
You can re-enforce the bottom to prevent the vehicle from splitting
Must use Stock Plastic Wheels and Axles
No brakes modifications
No Steering modifications
2 or 3 racers at a time.. winner moves on.

  Any excessive mods for performance or safety will be disqualified..

I found my Racing Jeep at a thrift store today... $10 - I had to get it..

Had to take it apart to remove the gears..

I am sure there is a more elegant want to remove the gears but a cutting wheel worked well..

After you remove your gears... I do not recommend sticking you kid in the Jeep and letting her go down a street hill.. I knew there where no brakes but I did not realize there would be NO steering either..

My daughter flew down the hill... Tried to turn and just slid straight into a curb.. Flipped over and tumbled with the jeep into my neighbors yard...

As I was running to help, expecting Blood and Broken Bones... I heard my daughter yell THAT WAS AWESOME....

I got mine today. I didnt take the rear end apart, I just took the back wheels off and broke the teeth off the wheel hubs and welded washers back on the axle to hold the wheels on. Oh and by the way MM plastic dont grab on pavement     Mine is a 4 wheeler style power wheel.
