no shit he was cheating, (dont know why either, that thing has a 3800 supercharged v6 on it, auto tranny, cutting brakes, 4x4, selectable lockers, etc, etc.), and they plainly told us to be sure and hit those first jumps on the other end and they still said he won with a 13.8 to my 14.0 after it taking him 4 different laps to ever get the 15.8 it took to tie one of my 1st two laps

there was even a guy came by and told me he was friends with the guy but while shaking his head, said that he "thought i was faster" not to mention at least a dozen other folks i didnt even know came over afterwards telling me the same thing

he also got special treatment and got to park his rig inside the at the other end of the arena while everybody else had to park outside

its just another case of one those high dollar 4x4 guys getting their feelings hurt by a buggy with a 50 year old suspension, naturally aspirated aircooled 4 cylinder, basically one wheel drive, and 31 inch tires

The way your buggy rides that final set of bumps is near perfect, you must have that suspension dialled.. it looks like the chassis stays pretty flat.. nice..

The 4x4 on the other hand...

Could just do with the front turning in a bit better and you'd do 2 laps for every one of his

thanks for the comment guys, but i cant take credit for the setup on it, darrel jones (gizmo on here) is the guy i bought it from and i havent had to change a thing on the setup so far :D

and as for the turning in part, the problem i have with that is it tries to nose over on the right front so bad that it tries to lift the left rear off the ground when you enter the corners hard

but it climbs great just like it is so i dont really want to change anything to mess that up

Your run looked great, and I agree about your suspension set up over the whoops! Rock crawler clearly lets off at every jump or whoop. Pussy.
