Got my dual carbs today....HAHAHA Guy says he pulled them off of his RUNNING 1915, If that buggy ran i would be amazed. THey look amazing on the outside, But tore them down and was disgusted that i spent 500 on them. Made me wish i woulda bought the empis brand new. Floats literally fell apart on the bench, Rubber seals dried out and fell apart, I dont know how to even describe the gunk/dirt/ debri in the bowls , and pulling jets etc...Couldnt blow air threw anything. Cant stand people who sell ya junk and talk it up like its new.

How hard is it to just be straight up and say they need to be completely overhauled. And for 500 bucks ya think he coulda atleast cleaned them, I sold my progressive setup to my buddy for 100 and it was spotless when it left here inside and out.

I spoke on a post a month ago. Buying and selling is war. Or atleast look at it that way. While they are shaking your hand they look into your eyes and think, "I'm fixin to burn yo a$$".I've been burnt and suckered too, but it makes you wake up to today and tomorrows world. That's what you MUST live in.Their are 2 kinds of people in this world. Givers and takers. Some get a high off of giving and some get a high off of taking. Such as taking your job, your promotion, material, wife ,girlfriend, spirit......

I emailed him asking if everything was complete and In good working order. THis is His exact words.

Snowhwk@aol.com - They are complete. You may have to dial them in to your engine, but they were running great when pulled. Since you are in Ohio, I assume you will want them shipped? I will need to calculate the shipping cost if so...Just let me know. Thanks again. Randy

Maybe Ima moron, But that to me sounds like they are in good shape? Not all gummed up with leaking gaskets, an full of dirt etc...

that sucks , but i agree try to contact him first and if you dont get anywere then bash the shit out of him !
i bought a mower engine once that ran great i got home and put it on and 2 days later it blew up , i took it as a loss cause i heard it run and drove it . saw the guy two weeks later he asked how the mower runs and i told him it blew up he told me to follow him home to get me another engine !
point being give him a chance to fix it before you bash it !

sounds like u just learned a 500 dollar lesson always ask for more pics i buy a lot off thesamba and i got caught once and talked to the guy and he refunded all my money and told me to keep the parts so i think ur best bet would be to nicely tell him ur problem and explain what u found when u opened carbs up maybe even send picks how did u pay for them paypal????

lol-Passat.....Either way I got what i got. And it is what it is. I sent him an email explaining, What I received and came across when i took them apart, explained that I was not happy about it and would appreciate if he would get back to me So I could hear his side of the story. So guess i wait and see what kinda person he really is lol. BUT one thing he wasnt lieing about is they did come with brand spankin new filters lol

Theres a big difference between runnning great when pulled, working order, and what i received. Working order could mean yea everything is there and functions LIKE CRAP But hey It works right?
